Dorso is a macOS menu bar application that monitors your posture using your computer's camera or AirPods. Your privacy is important to us, and Dorso is designed with privacy as a core principle.
Data Collection
Dorso does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.
Camera Usage
- Dorso accesses your camera solely to detect your posture in real-time
- Video frames are processed entirely on your device using Apple's Vision framework
- No images or video are ever stored, recorded, or transmitted
- Camera data never leaves your computer
AirPods Usage
- Dorso can use the head tracking sensors in AirPods Pro or AirPods Max to detect posture
- Motion data is processed entirely on your device using Apple's CoreMotion framework
- No motion data is ever stored or transmitted
No Analytics
- Dorso contains no analytics or tracking software
- No usage data is collected
- No crash reports are sent
No Network Access
- Dorso does not connect to the internet
- No data is transmitted to any servers
- The app functions completely offline
No Account Required
- Dorso does not require account creation
- No personal information is requested or stored
Third-Party Services
Dorso does not integrate with any third-party services or APIs.
Data Storage
Dorso stores your posture statistics locally on your Mac. This data never leaves your device and can be deleted at any time by removing the app.
Children's Privacy
Dorso does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
